Built in the late 1800 over what was known as "Plaza de las Carnicerias" (Butchers Plaza) the old slaughterhouse of Quito, where they also celebrated bullfighting; it raises the Teatro Nacional Sucre, an expression of renaissance classicism. In the entire second floor including its terrace it is located the most important restaurant of Quito, THEATRUM Restaurant & Wine Bar , it represents great importance for the gastronomy and tourism of the city and the country. Interior Design and Decoration
The style and atmosphere of the decoration of the THEATRUM have been conceived as a result of a study of the present styles and tendencies of famous hotels and restaurants in the most cosmopolitan cities of the world.
A contemporary style has been chosen with classic architectonic elements to achieve an eclectic space wrapped in a theatrical ambience. It looks like a bordello that's been decorated by Ian Schrager with tomato-red curtains and brass chandeliers with black tassels.
